These are honestly so much better than I was expecting. I'm 5'-9\", about 160lbs and these fit like a dream. I can wear them high or low and they're long enough for my legs both ways. They're a heavier material (but not bulky) and definitely aren't see-through or thin(which is what I'm always worried about). The waistband is elastic but has two ties on the front to adjust it a little bit. I haven't washed them yet so I can't say if they'll shrink or not, but they are very comfortable and very flattering.
